Question About 6LE Dash Pad 94 Z28
Hey everyone! My dash pad is in really rough shape and I want to replace it. I was searching and someone mentioned that 6LE makes a new pad. Checked the website and, indeed, I found this bad boy:
http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=165_23_26_139&products_id=2 50
Looks like it would be about $240 shipped, which is reasonable for a pad given the other prices I have seen. I'm about ready to pull the trigger, but the installation video on that linked page looks like it's for the installation of a cap...
Edit: I did some more digging and found this thread from when the product was first introduced:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/1407000-1982-2002-camaro-firebird-dash-pads-sale-now-2.html
It looks like it is a cap. In order to apply it, do you need to pull the current pad off, repair it and then apply the cap on top? Or can you adhere the cap to the dash pad without repairing it?
Thanks in advance!
