Plug and play resistors or new flasher for LED signals?
Hey all, I just bought some front clear turn signal/parking light housings for my Camaro off eBay that I intend to tint with VHT to better match my silver/black theme I have going on. I am sick of my bulbs constantly burning out, shattering when a drop of water gets in, and melting my housings (literally it's melted a hole all the way through).
So I'm looking to LEDs to cool things off and give it a better look. The housings I bought have chrome reflective material inside to aid light dissipation. I am sticking with amber LEDs and not switchbacks because I have read numerous people having issues with them working properly and I prefer the amber look. My question is, what would be the preferred solution to stop hyper flashing and prevent any overheating? Some places have stated not to use LEDs in GM DRLs but haven't exactly stated why. I've read if you go the flasher route, EL12's are the ones to get. It used to be if you wanted to use resistors you had to splice into the wiring harness which no one wants to do, but I am interested in an inline plug and play kit like this one from DDM Tuning:

Eventually I intend to go LED with my brake lights and rear turn signals as well but that will be later down the road. Any advice or input is appreciated!

Thanks Guz. It seems the flasher that was linked is out of stock, saying it ships within 1-2 months. Do you suppose this one would do the job?

I bought this one. Not sure about the one you linked.
I am running full LED's front and rear.
