Frostbite 3.0 C5 build (pic heavy) Its been awhile since ive posted here but some of you man remember me from my 97 quasar blue t/a that we did the c6 steering swap in. Want to hop back in and get into this community again so I figured id post up my current build and show you guys what I've been up to here lately.
So when the blue car blew up I bought a C5 to drive while I rebuilt it... time, money constraints, and god knows why snowballed into me selling the blue car and building the C5 that was suppose to remain stock. Next thing I knew I was full H/C/I.
Well now its time for its 3rd major build which im already deep into. I acquired a steal on an A&A Vortech V3 kit this year from my friends over at Vette Villains. Sometime back in November we started wrenching on it and here where we are now as you'll see in the pics.
A quick list of what we've done so far.
Interior:
Going to all black
C6 Steering wheel conversion (I mean I did it to one why not the other right)
C6 style shift **** on the auto
Double Din,
Some custom upholstery work coming soon.
Performance/Appearance
-A&A Vortech V3 kit install
-Upgrading the fuel system
-Kb Boost A Pump
-60lbs injectors
-Powder Coated everything that was metal I could
-411 PCM conversion
So heres some pics of what I got so far, hoping to turn over the key in this thing next week then hop back over to the interior after the dyno and tune.

Well thats pretty much where its at, if you guys like what ya see feel free to comment, give me suggestions, or tell me it looks like crap too lol (i know the green wont be everyones cup of tea) Looking forward to hoping back into the community though!

Im starting to like c5 builds more and more these days, not sure why. There seems to be a huge amount of options to vary the style of the exterior compared to well a firebird. Unless you go custom there isnt much outside of a ws6 hood and a ceta mod. Not that they cant look awesome its just harder to stand out these days. I feel your pain, mine has been setting around 3 years as well working through some issues but there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel and maybe ill change my mind after that.
Like the interior update and obvioulsy more horsepower to a full size go cart is never a bad choice

Yeah I can honestly say this things way easier to work on than my F-Body in most respects. Once you get past the its a Corvette it must be complicated as hell aspect and dive into these things there actually pretty simple how their put together. I probably will eventually end up buying another F-body and either cloning the blue car to make it a driver or maybe going another route. I doubt ill stay away though, I miss my t-tops... targas just not the same. Should have some big updates on the build coming soon.
