Default 94 z28 camaro #5 project -interior/exterior thread

So this is 4th gen camaro #5 for me and probably the last. I've had these things since they were new in 96 and have had different versions over the years. Sometimes I posted projects, sometimes I didn't. I'll try to get this one fully here so I can keep track of it myself. This black one is a 94 z28 variety from the south and rust free. No accident clean car and for you guys that live south, you are lucky, up here, they all rust out with daily driving. This one will be fair weather weekend cruiser and will be built with all existing parts I have. In short in this thread will track the body prep and interior prep:

-Gut interior and replace with:
98+ dash conversion + center console. I have a steering wheel with radio controls that I may try to work into it once I get this apart.
interior color conversion to ebony (carpet and all panels)
ebony firebird/transam door panels
kee audio setup will finally go in that I bought 5 years ago...etc..
my nice leather seats
maybe ttop conversion maybe not...

figure out what to do with exterior, paint correction or wrap and looking for a custom non-drag wheel setup (leaning on Forgestar F14s with deep concave to support the 3" narrowed rear)

I'll document the performance engine side in a separate thread, but today it currently has a 4.8 ls motor (out of a 2005 tahoe with 105k miles) with ls6 intake/cam/pac1218, etc (will get boost) and a th400 with a possible shift to a 4l80e. 9" being built and will track in separate thread as well.

Here are some pics of how it looks today and some of the other random projects over the years.

Not sure if these will work yet. Trying from a 2003 cts. The bolt holes are smaller than the fbody, i would say maybe an 1/8 all the way around. So will need to elongate the openings. lost one of the screws tonight and will pick it up later.

S*&T - The whole interior is in play, carpet, panels, etc. It's going all ebony. trans am door panels, etc. It will get a 97+ dash conversion as well. This thing is hurting. Luckily, I have all the parts. Possibly ttops too.

I got it as a roller, 6 years ago. FInally getting around to it.

Im curious how do you have the body lifted up. Do you have a rig to your roof of your garage?

Here's a better pic of it. I had a beam going across the garage, so I bought that red trolley from HF and the hoist from HF.

Little more progress update. Got the 6le lt1/ls1 bumper mounted finally after five years. Adjusted the sunoco and wet sanded all of it with some 400. Now need to decide on paint options. Got a wuote from maaco for full car from 2100-2800 for acrylic U or bc/cc on the higher side. They said if i do all prep and sand car to 400. They will do for 1600 bc/cc. I have a buddy who has a shop but i dont want to take away from his work. He is looking to see if one if his guys wants to do it on the side. Some pics.

And. He gave me some of this to fix the rip on front left fender at bottom from previous owner that someone jacked it and cracked it. Worked like a charm. Mixed it 2-1 roughly based on the tube sizes.

Not much to report but did take advantage of a few min on weekend to fire it up and take it out of the garage. Now that paint is done, can focus on interior . Pics are after a quick california duster session For those that wanted to see the bumper
