The airbag and check engine lights are separate issues. You need to get it scanned but don't tell them it's anything to do with srs or abs. The counter jockeys look for any reason to avoid going outside. You'll probably find it's a code for emissions equipment.

Sorry I misread that. It isn't your check engine light that is on, rather it is your service vehicle light? I believe that is just indicating that you need an oil change

I did have a recent oil change, is there a method to try and reset the ses light? Do these cars actually know when the oil is loosing its viscosity?

I do not know how this car knows it needs an oil change, it may just be mileage based. New cars determine the oil life using a lot of variables, it doesn't know the viscosity, just usage (temps, time, rpm etc etc.)

Just google how to reset the oil life or search, I don't know how myself.
