Talking Orange Is the New Black (Vinyl Wrap)

Well, I did a thing...

I know vinyl wrapped fbodies are not all that popular around here and the purists will look down on the color choice as it is not authentic GM paint but whatever.

So I love a clean black car just as much as the next person but after 7 years of slaving over it to keep it meticulous, I felt it was time for a change. Not a permanent one and preferably one that would hide dust better.

I've always been in love with Sunset Orange Metallic fbodies but I wasn't ready to get rid of the black for good yet, sooooo I went with my best option. It's being wrapped in 3M's Gloss Fiery Orange, which is about a 80% color match to SOM in most lighting. I'm having it ceramic coated as well to help add more depth and make upkeep much easier.

It's a drastic difference and I'm still adjusting to it myself. What you guys think?

That orange looks amazing on your Camaro. What's your wheel setup? I'm wanting to go with RTS Welds for my 97 SS.

This looks damn good! The finished product is going to look fantastic.
If you don't mind, how much is this costing you? Are you doing it yourself or hired someone?
A few years ago I was throwing around the idea of doing a matte white, but I was quoted $4,000 to do it. I about fell out of my chair lol

Yeah, that looks awesome. If I had a couple grand to blow I'd do my black one like that too. I love black, but God it only stays clean for 12 minutes lol

what is this running cost wise? that looks like extensive labor to pull the bumpers/spoiler, etc.

They are 18x10 fronts (295/30's) and 18x11 rears (315/30's). Tires are Toyo R888's

Yeah, the price can get up there. I opted not to do the door jambs so it cost me $2200 out the door. (I also had used a premium color so that bumped up the $$$)

Car looks great. The black RT-S wheels look perfect with the black taillight panel. And as always CME exhaust just compliments it even more.
