Default How I spent my Sunday

Completely redid my pcm wiring harness, since it looked so bad after the 0411 swap with all the tags and such.

In the beginning lol

This is what hell looks like

Went ahead and rerouted these

And... done, for now.

I have the top of the engine apart to change my lifters. So I decided to delete a bunch of wires I didn't need in addition to rerouting the fender harness. I also had to tie in and shorten my ISS sensor for the 4L80e.

It wasn't all that bad really. Just an evening redoing the harness to clean everything up.

Most of my factory wire loom is so old it cracks immediately when you pull on it. I really wanted that no wire look. Perhaps I am a bit on the crazy side. I did most of the harness when I had the engine out last time, but didn't do the wire deletes.

I think the biggest thing was changing the pcm. That was not fun. To get a 0411 in a 98 you have to redo both the plugs.

Looks like this:

I had to extend a bunch of the wires and reroute a bunch of them too.

I know, I'm crazy. Just ask my wife lol.

If only things like this happened... lol. One can hope though. That would have been great.

nice job! basically its doable, just prep and take your time. my previous build, I only did the repin swapping from the 98 pcm to the 0411 01-02 pcm. spend time researching the schematics and colors then spent 2 hours over course of 2 days doing the repining portion taking my time. stupid 98 pcms lol
