Default Have SS Spoiler, Ordered 3rd Brake Lights, No Connector. Would This Work (Pics)

https://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts...-05451752.html

Would this plug connector work? I have a 97 z28 with the LS1 style lights, I shouldn't need a resistor or relay since I'm OBDII. However the HAWKS lights I ordered do not have a connector attached and the OEM spoiler I have didn't come with a light (I'm working on getting the light from the guy I bought the spoiler from). I found this connector online at Partsgeek and wondering if this would work? I know most just cut off the connector from their regular Z28 spoiler and splice the wires and either solder or using crimp connectors and away they go. I would much rather prefer having an actual connector on the light; anyway possible to splice in this connector with the Hawks third brake light and plug and play?

That looks like the one. I had to do the same thing for my McNord spoiler. It was classified as some basic connector but I can't remember part number

is the connectors coming from the third brake light a make end or a female plug? The one in the picture looks like a female connection. Does the 3rd brake light plug into the wiring harness or the other way around.

the description now says male end but im
wondering which connector is correct for an 98-02 SS spoiler.

thanks!
aslo thanks ^ that gets me started in the right direction.

ive read of others buying the connector and pulling the wires out and inserting them into the connector.

Thank You!

If you know where to find a connector end, I could just insert the Hawks wires and adjoin them together for a factory look. Let me know, thanks again!

The black and yellow wires go to the third light. It's definitely a male end though
Hope this helps

Thank you that does help! Do you happen to know where I might get that connector at? Thanks again for helping me throughout this thread.

Honestly I can't remember. I had to do some google searching to get a part number and compare pictures. The part number was for some other car and component. I got this about 4 years ago to be honest and i don't have that part number anywhere.

Thanks for all your help! Maybe my best bet, is to grab a 1997-02 third brake light wiring harness off ebay and just use that connector and have spare taillights?
