Re-upholstered driver's seat Last summer and fall I put a couple thousand miles on the car and became very aware of the driver's seat. I had some rips repaired about 15 years ago but this time I went all out and had the cushion replaced along with all the leather. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...2a2192528f.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...448bf3d026.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...45c26f1028.jpg The shop initially inserted extra thick padding into the seat. It was so thick my head was pressed against the roof! I had to take it back and he removed the padding and replaced it with a thinner squishier pad that feels equally as comfortable to me. Also the new leather doesn't quite match the shade of the original but there's already a dozen shades of gray in this interior anyway. Overall I'm very pleased! |
What did it cost and where? |
I'm going to guess the cost. Just because. I'm going to say $950. Parts and labor. All in. |
I wish it was $950. $1K for the material, $1K for labor. It was done at Red Hot Interiors in Bend, OR. It's ran by the owner and his wife, they've been at it for decades and they're the only game in town. |

They did an awesome job, I’d be happy with the price and results |
They did do an awesome job. It's only money. It's to be used to make yourself happy. Why would you work otherwise? |
