Default free powdercoating..what to have done?

Well, almost free.. my buddies grandpa owns a powdercoating shop..he said for a very small fee (20 bucks for my valvecovers ) he would do them..i need some advice for what to powdercoat..i would like to do my valvecovers and anything else that i can physically do for this cheap..i have a red car so i would like to have some suggestions as what color to go with..i like red, but think if i have everything done in red it would be too much???(on the eyes) i told him i would pull off whatever i could and send bring it over..my car is apart with engine out right now..any suggestions?

How about your throttle body, cable linkage and cable bracket also your factory maf ends. With the valve covers and that I think it would look good and in all the right places.

yes i was planning on the doing the tb but couldnt decide whether or not to send it somewhere to get it ported or not.. i could do it myself, but would rather have it done as i dont have alot of spare time on my hands..BUT i dont want to wait for 2 months on a damn tb. i have heard there is a pretty slow turn around on these...

i like the idea of the throttle cable and bracket

If you are willing to go outside the engine bay, you could do your calipers and spindles...

My valve covers are red but on a red car I think that would just blend in too much (pointless). On a red car I personally like chrome as it stands out/matches really well. If you want to go powercoat, how about black?

Black on the calipers and spindles would look really good on your red car. The engine stuff is what will be hard to make look good.

Red powdercoated valve covers look good on my pewter car.

I also did the timing chain cover. Unfortunitly you can't see it because of the big azz water pump housing

Hey How Much Does He Charge For Powdercoating?
This Might Seem Dumb. But I Would Like To Get Some Silver Zr1 And Have The Painted Or Powdercoated Red.it Would Match My Car. I Saw A Red 35th Ss On Ebay Once And I Think It Have The Kind Of Wheels On It. Look Good So I Was Thinking Of The Same Thing.
