Default Help with FRC`s

Ok i got a set of fuel rail covers with the 2 lines holes in them to put on my 98 SS and they just will not fit the guy i bought them for had already trimmed them but its just not working theres crap in there that just will not let it fit on right does anyone have suggestions or similar problems i spent an hour and a half fine trimming it and moving everything around i can in there and thats to much time for a snap on piece.

The air pump on the driver's side is the main interference. I had to cut about a 3" horseshoe-shaped chunk off my first set. But you can pop the pump out of it's bracket. I did that on my new FRCs & didn't cut anything. I used to have a picture of the cuts, but I must have blown it away. I'll see if I can find the mem stick that it's on & post it for you.

Can you share photos of the product so we can see how much was cut from the drivers side cover?

I'd like to see what it looks like to start with.

If you can see where the cover is causing problems, just keep cutting until you get there. The cuts will be hidden after you finally get them in place anyway.

Did you remove the throttle cable bracket from the top of the manifold? (Or at least bend it out of the way?)
Did you remove the wire pack from the fuel rail?

Both of those items will prevent the cover from snapping down in place.

Honestly, I think all of them need some tweeking to fit.

i removed some thing that the throttle cables were being held into place with but nothing else cause hate to say it but im no engine expert i just dont want to move or bend the wrong thing.

I want a set of covers but I dont want to cut them up. If I remove my AIR will I still need to cut them?

the set i put on was for my 98 not the 01 im not sure how they would fit on an 01 since they are made different but im not thrilled about a bunch of cutting either even though half of them are concealed
