Default detail Gods enlighten me please

So my exterior rubber and plastic trim needs some luv'n, who's doesn't(pics please). Especially the exterior rubber strip on the bottom of the window. Are there any products at a autoparts store that might help? Also my headlamps are looking alittle translucent, could wet sanding them with 1500 or 2000 sandpaper help or hinder?

I believe Mothers "Back to Black" can be used for all that stuff.

There is a kit that uses Autosol and a buffing wheel to clean the headlights and tailights.
