Sorry no pic but a Harlan shift light in the drivers a-pillar defrost hole, Is the sweetest way to go! they are leds and fit perfectly! most people over look it but when the leds light up it is not to be missed! I will have one but wired to my DFI are a problem light!

From Harlan in the F/I board he is Y2KHAWK in the moderator area! go to his web site! and order. NOTE: some times they take some time to get as they are hand made and he is very very busy! But ask anyone that got theres and they will tell you it was worth it!

Wow that is like the James Bond car with all those digital guages and painted dash pieces! that has to light up like a X-mas tree at night, oh and what is the flip switch for?

haha, yea it is pretty bright. i got the gauges and the pod off of a friends car, and i think he had that top switch there for electric fans, not sure tho.so right now it does nothing. i might get the fans myself, just so i can actually use that switch :)

Yeah I think the A-pillar is teh right place too but I mounted mine in the drivers side Air Vent. Its un-notiicable but when it lights up you see it perfectly. Mine is a raptor though not a harland I think there almost identical from the pics ive seen but I can be sure.

Here is a pic but its not my car. my LEDs are blue. BUt the location is the same. ALso, mounting this is SIMPLE with 2 small zip ties. Check it out:

Pics from Harlan's website. Seems to be the best place to mount one, it fits perfect:

I have a red harlan shiftlight mounted in the vent like shaneSS...it takes a while to get a harlan light, but worth it IMO...

HavATampa Oct 24, 2004 06:55 PM

True. Some people have waited months and months. I just got mine in last week and it only took 22 days. :D

My Raptor came in a matter of days. What are the difference between the two? I dont know what else I would want out of a shift light...... I think the # of LEDs are different, but is that all?

i have mine in the corner by the a pillar... the last one was taken with the lid on just to get a comparison on how bright it is :eek2:

HavATampa Oct 24, 2004 07:16 PM

The Raptor has one more led, it's a little smaller in diameter, is made of aluminum instead of plastic, comes with a lens cover and mounting brackets and is $35 more than the Harlan. Other than that, they are both easily adjusted and probably work the same.

No pics, but I have a micro shift light mounted on top of the steering colum and it works great. There is no restriction on the gauges and I usually find myself looking at the stock gauges when racing, so I find myself looking right at it. It also lights up right in my face. Wish I had a pic for ya.

How in the hell do you see the speedo or the tac with that there Big mike?

00SS4780 Oct 25, 2004 02:06 AM

When you pull the colum down you can see fine. Alittle hard to see up to 40 or 50mph but everything else is wide open. I love mine there. At other places I didn't always see it, but now I see it all the time. I have mine double sidded taped down. No holes there. Mine has the chip plug in seperate so it doesn't sit quite as high on mine. Oh by the way Mike, nice interior.
