Yep.. Dont know what the hell happend. The car was not like that when i parked it around 3-4 weeks ago. Got into it to drive to work awhile ago and saw it.. I was thinking maybe because of it getting a little cold around here.

The driver side (the small crack) was there before but only half as long (so that can be somewhat explained). The Passenger (the huge tear) Was not there at all and just appeared over nite.. Car has been parked. WTF! Guess ill start looking for 2 door panels over the winter.

Yea, the driver side was small and was there when i bought the car 2 years ago. So, it has gotten bigger. But the passenger side is huge and seems like it appeared over nite.. Sucks man.

Same thing here in Tennessee in a Trans Am. Same exact spot. I think colder weather makes the plastic brittle and it either cracks on it's own, or closing the door when it's cold does it. Driver and passenger's side cracked on mine, then I replaced them both. Passenger's side has started to crack again on me. Driver's side is OK so far.

I haven't had that happen yet, but the vinyl on the dash is starting to come apart in several locations. I figured it was the heat because it appeared as if the vinyl was stretching thin and then shrunk to the point where it was ripping apart. Cheap vinyl!

My girlfriends '00 Trans Am has the same small cracks forming in the exact same place. Maybe there is some door structure underneath it causing this to happen. We are in Houston, and it never gets cold down here. Just HOT.

i dont think its the cold , cause it has not been that cold in sa even during last week when there was a cold front. it was only like at 50 deg. It does happen when summer time comes around. I know this sounds stupid but it is true if you use any kind of silicone based dressings on the interior druing summer time it can make the plastic brittle causing it to eventually break. Ive experienced it myself, thats cause it doesnt have any kind of UV protection.
