Dun dun dun, finally got my hatch tinted!

rear was done in one piece. Noticing that the dot matrix at the top of the hatch is starting to slightly turn white, hopefully it'll stay black with the rest of the car, I was warned about that just happening. Definitely a bigger improvement to the car than I thought it'd be.

haha I've been thinkin about new wheels for a few years, it's the money part that kinda sucks.
Definitely would've gone limo all the way around, but the cops are **** here too. If they can't see you, they pull you over, hand you a scraper, and make you scrape it off right then and there.

If you have probs with the dot matrix, have them cut the tint right under the dots and have a vinyl company cut the missing piece in black vinyl and stick it in the spot. I'm having that done next summer. That dot matrix makes a good tint look crappy.

I personally did the same thing for the dot area that joedrum suggested. I have it cut at the base of the dot and then mask everything off and have it shot black. Once that is done I do one more coat just to be sure and if there are any areas still peeking out just use the tint pen to fix. It helps having a friend in the business, I get to learn all these stupid little things. Mine is limo in the back and tintless on the side, between the CA regulations and not being allowed on base, it's just not worth it to me. I might get light on the sides anyway just to compliment the back, I'm still debating the risk.
