They all look the same!! They all look like the ram air hood. Someone be creative, come up with something crazy! I think the shaker hood looks awesome cuz it is something different!! Someone come up with another idea!

OK here it is, not much different, but I cleaned it up a bit, and added louvers, and took out the nostrils in front. This still allows access to the hood latch too.

I've been bugging Roger about this hood for 6 months and it isn't going to happen anytime soon. He said he is "building Dodge Viper parts and isn't sure if he'll even be able to get to it this coming year."

Default My hood

Guys,

Here is a link to my site showing a hood I am constructing. I'll update that as I make progress.

I like it.

I have a spare hood I'm trying to decide what to do with. My current plan is to simply mold a hood bulge into it at about the same location as a shaker scoop would be. The key though would be to use very flowing and smooth lines. I don't want it to look taked or added on, but to flow with the original hood lines. A very swoopy and molded in look. I may also give it a slight V shape to complement the hood creases. It would serve as a heat extractor mainly, but also get rid of that flat spot on top of the stock hood.

Anyway, keep us, or at least me, updated as you get more done.

Jason

Just an idea, some camaro guys use the TA style hoods on their cars. Anyone wanna photochop one of the camaro hoods onto a TA? The one with the scoop that gets the manta stripes. Could be cool.

The Mecham hood is great because of the air extractors. I wonder if anyone has tested the effectiveness. In theory, it should really reduce lift on the front. The down sides are that the front of that hood is kinda small (not aggressive enough), and I hear the fittment is really crappy.

Aside from that one, I think the WS6 hood is about the perfect hood for these cars, unless you redo the nose piece to get rid of the molded openings. (someone here photoshopped his lowered black flat hood T/A that way, was really cool looking)

Id like to see a more menacing version of the Mecham hood mixed with a WS6 or H.O Hood. I like the Heritage Ta Hood, but make the shaker cowl alittle bit longer. If you make the Heritahe hood, then you have to make the matching bumper as well.

suncoastcreations.com used to make a shaker hood for the 93-97 style but it was discontinued. Here is a pic of it:

Who knows they might make u one if you were interested. Or just the shaker part and let u cut out the stock hood to make room for it.
