paint primer Q's

had the nose painted but the color came out darker i noticed that the body shop used black primer the cars been a FL car since new the body shop used a paint code, could the FL sun or primer have a effect on the final product whats the original primer color?

Well it is very hard to match colors, especially NBM. The sun would only bake the paint to make it adhere more to the car, and the primer would not affect the final color unless only one or two coats were put on which is highly unlikely. If you had it painted at a body shop i would take it back and see what they can do. Not sure on original primer color. Could have been gray, black, or red, those are the most common.

Could be from the painter spraying it without enough air pressure in his gun. Hell, the rest of the car could be faded and he just didn't do a good job of blending. Also, most color codes have variances and he could of used the darker one instead of the standard.
