Default Removing Rear Seats, Seat Belt Problem

Seats are a breeze to break loose..But my problem rests in the shoulder bracket the seat belt goes threw on the back. I had the correct bit and everything..and 2 outta the 4 just stripped instantly. Is there anyway to get the seat belt threw that bracket without removing the brackets? The only thing im thinking is to cut it.

they make special drill bits that will drill into the bolt and turn it out at the same time, check out sears...

that sucks. the problem is that they have a ridiculous amount of blue loctite on them. I took mine out without stripping them though but it was a real pain in the ***.

sorry to say, but i doubt those bits from sears will work this time due to all the lock-tight on the screws...i would say either try cutting a slot on the bolt with a dremel so you can use a screw driver, or just completely cut off the bolt...

Are you sure you used the exact sized bit? I know it's a little late now, but I thought I was using the correct one, until I tried the next bigger.

If it stripped you used the wrong size one...torx sizes are odd and barely bigger then one another. Robogrips should get a nice hold on the bolt head though.

Theres really no way to get robo-grips or anything around the head of the bolt. Its recessed in the bracket itself..

They do use a crap load of locktite on them. I ended up having to use vice grips to get mine out.
