Default Need advice on plastic piece..but not sure what it is!!!!

Fellow members, I need some help. I tried to do a search on this before posting, but I was not sure on what to search on. On TA's, and I think Camaro's, right behind the drivers and passenger's side windows, there is this triangle shaped plastic piece. Is there a way that any of you have found to make that piece look like new again, or keep from fading. Even though I have always kept the car clean, it is starting to fade and have a purple colored haze to it. The same goes for the bar on top of the car between the t-tops.

Is it possible to make this look new again, or if I buy the new piece, is it possible to protect it with something to keep it from fading? Soap and water alone haven't done it.

Thanks in advance.

W/o my car being here I cant exactly remember if its a clear coated piece. If not try Mothers Back to Black! I swear by it on the black trim and plastic pieces. Give a whirl!

Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. The strip on top of my car looks kinda faded and the triangle pieces by the side windows are kinda hazy looking instead of glossy black.

Mine aren't in bad shape yet. Could it be the type of cleaners you're using?
