Default Painting Intake??

What steps do i need to do to paint my new intake i got?? It's just a factory Z06 intake. Thanks.

I removed the little circle indents on each intake rib on top. Eventually sanded it down to 400 grit. Applied primer. Let it dry. Sanded down with 600 wet. Wiped down with prep-all. Put multiple light coats of regular duplicolor paint. Let dry. Apply a couple coats of clear. Let dry. Wetsand with 1500. Wiped down. Put another couple coats of clear. Let dry. Put your favorite paint care products on.

Where do you guys all get your paint and sanding supplies? I've never seen 1500 grit paper anywhere. Then again, I'm probably not looking in the right places either.

check autozone or any of the car places, they have the sandpaper near the paint and body stuff
