whats the best??

over the counter wax, like easy to apply and remove, i use the p21,zaino,menzerna's on my car but i need somthing cheaper to do other peoples cars.

Meguiars hands down. Not the basic stuff but their professional line, Mirror Glaze. They are packaged in mily tanish bottles. They all have numbers on the in red boxes. Look into #80, #20 or #26, #7 or #5, #9, and #83 if you need it. Another great product to use rather than the #83 is 3M fine cut compound (#39002). Great stuff if you need that extra cut. All reasonable prices.

Mother's and Meguiar's will be the OTC brands to look for.

Mother's has a whole new line out.

i use the meguires line for heavy buffing, i just need somthing cheap to put on friends cars that i wash for them

Meguiar's # 7 Glaze then #26 on top of it. Look at the last album of pics on page 2 of my webshots and check out the shine.

i think im going to look at the meguires products, stand and read the labels

BLk01SS 05-25-2005 08:35 AM

yea, go to Auto Zone to check them out. =)

Use Meguiars Polish, but not there wax in the Mirror glaze. I would go to Mothers for a wax. you don't seem to get as good of a shine with Meguiars. Unless you go with Gold class or maybe NXT.

I use NXT, nice shine and easy to remove.

FBDYLVR 05-25-2005 11:30 AM

I second the NXT, one of the easiest waxes to apply and remove.

CompTA 05-25-2005 11:33 AM

I love NXT

Dustin 05-25-2005 11:38 AM

NXT and mequiars hand glaze, dont remember which number

Another vote for NXT. I have been using the liquid for alomost a year on my car (pretty much since I bought it) and LOVE IT!!! I also started using the NXT detailing spray and now the NXT car wash too. All of these items are great products and work better than anything i've ever used, and you get them anywhere too.

i got the meguires cleaner wax in the can, it was only 4.99 and it goes on and off just as easy as p21s

y2k_ta 05-25-2005 09:00 PM

Wax Shop wax for me. Easy on and easy off.

LS1_SS 05-25-2005 09:52 PM

well if you plan on detailing cars i wouldnt skimp out on products IMHO. However you can easily make money off any products i.e P21s, Zaino, Souveran etc... A good cheap alternative to affordable products that do a good job is the Meguairs, Mothers line also try Automagic you can get some of their polishes, glazes and waxes in 16oz bottles for like 7 bucks each. Also Top Of the line has a professional line thats pretty affordable as well.

Was that a hijack attempt? :jest:

1998TA__1991RS 05-26-2005 07:49 AM

yea, im just judging by how much they want to spend on what types of material to use, if they want a 150$ job they are going to get zaino,p21, but if they are wanting a 50$ job they are going to get maguires
