Default Berger Panel: Leave CAMARO letters or shave them>?

I am in the middle of doing my Berger panel. I bought the primer, paint and bondo. However, last minute I decided I didn't want to shave the CAMARO lettering and primed it up. Now I am changing my mind again and want to shave it but that will require another can of primer and more sanding. I am doing mine High Gloss Black, not flat black. Give me some opinions-to shave or not to shave =)

leave it and get the polished CAMARO emblems in the rear. That looks awesome!

Ya that is what I have decided to do. I saw a Sebring Silver SS with CME and a Berger panel with chrome letter and it looked sweet. Thanks guys!

don't get chrome, looks kinda tacky if you ask me. I would just do silver, not so "shiney", and leave the CAMARO, idk why ppl shave it off and take badges off there car. I guess the "clean" look. But if I wanted a clean look, i'd buy a civic and take the badges off. I want ppl to know i have a t/a ws6

WORD!!!

I never understood the reasoning behind the "clean" look. I pay to drive a muscular V8, not a piece of chit V6. If I didn't want the badges I'de have bought a POS v6 camaro or Firebird

Personally, I wouldn't shave it. The only reason I did on mine was to put the '69 Z/28 emblem in the center.

As for people getting rid of their badges, I have one word for you guys. SLEEPER....

I'm not into sleepers myself though as you can probably tell.

"I didn't want the badges I'de have bought a POS v6 camaro or Firebird"

Please tell me you're kidding...I suppose you bought your Z just to have the badges?

Nope...I bought the Z for what the badges MEAN the car is.

But the V8 would still work if the badges weren't there right? Not trying to be an ***; all I'm saying is there are people out there that want the V8 but like the clean look (which has nothing to do with imports - check out some of Chip Foose's work) and there are people that like sleepers. I thought about not having the badges at first but I liked the '69 badges too much.

Shave it and do like SuperDave did (just not exactly) and put some sort of emblem or something back there, hell even an off-centered bowtie or something to look different. The berger panels are becoming overdone, do something to spice it up.

I say leave it. That's the only place that a 4th gen has the word "Camaro" on it. 1st gens have it all over the place. Be proud! But, if you want it shaved, then I say remove them all. All or nothing, man.

Yeah? Well your taste SUCKS!

Seriously though, I think I like it with silver even better than mine. Looks sweet. I was going to get a silver Z but couldn't find one in my area and ended up getting the red one.

Rough up your tail panel with some sandpaper (especially the letters), then use some body filler ( Bondo for example), smooth it down with some more sandpaper, then paint.

Quick Reply: Berger Panel: Leave CAMARO letters or shave them>?
