Default Options On SS Hood Grill?

Ive been wanting to do something with the hood grill on my car, but the only thing I can find is a $100 insert from RK Sport. Anyone have any ideas in this department?

I just pulled mine off and sprayed it with a gloss black to match my car. It looks much better than the faded plastic look.

Well, I don't know if I ever posted Steve's (from Alsa) results on a grille I sent him.......he did the grille in the pics for me since I was having trouble with the final clear coat (this one was bought by someone).....it came out nice and makes me want to try another batch.......

I was thinking chrome spray paint? Ive never used it, so I dont know how the finish turns out. Sounds "ghetto" but I figured Id throw it out there...

I've used chrome paint on a couple of appearance mods, but it is very obvious that it isn't chrome. However, as far as the grills, I plan to go with the honeycomb style chrome one, just as in the above pics. The louvered style doesn't do it for me, dunno why.
