Default Found another way to mount some gauges, center pod in progress pics.

Well as it luck would have it I wanted a needed-wanted another gauge, 3 pod-A piller was not enough, but no where to mount it? I did not want to use my A/C vents, still need A/C. So this is what I came up with. Still need to do fisnish ect. Planning on a black powder coat finish.
Used radio rh mount ear and a dash pad attatch point just behinde glove box door. Pictures are a bit missleading there is still plenty of room for the pass. and legs ect and air bag, flip out drink holder is still functional as well. Going to route wire harness within a tube just to the bottom of the A/c controls and center counsel. No holes will need to be drilled whats so ever, is the best part.

What, I see you are watching me. Ya I was a bit bored today, needed a way to pass some time. Just another thought knocking around in my head. Thought I would put it to some good. And it had been a while sence I had the welder out as well.

Chris

Looks nice but has the potential to kill your passenger in a collision if you dont have 5 points. I dont think it would pass head impact safety standards. Same thing I always mention about A plr gages, peel your face right off. Not being a dick just worry about fellow LS1 friends

Never really understood the point of having so many gauge clusters... if you're going to rely on aftermarket gauges so much and not use the stock ones, why not just get rid of the stock gauge cluster and make a custom one that would look a heck of a lot better than these tack on side ones that's making you turn your neck all over the place?

If no other place and want to keep AC, I've always liked the 2 and 3 pillar guage pods.

Looks good. But wouldn't it be easier, or at least cleaner looking to use on of these instead? You could mount it directly to the top of the dash above the air vents and it would look factory, almost. They're pretty cheap too, and are all over ebay.

I saw this work of art when I stopped by Chris's. Very nice work.. Heavy Steel...

He does amazing work!!

I do agree through.. Looking at a lot of gauges while they really matter, a (WOT RUN). It is very hard to keep tabs on them all, and your car starts looking like a airplane cockpit...

I have 4 other gauges in my car and I cannot even look at them at WOT....
