i remember when you started that project, it had a lot of potential with all the custom stuff you were doing. I myself dont like all the red in the interior, but im more of a subtle guy too. but keep on doing what your doing, someone needs to

Haha yeah, I know my taste contradicts with a lot of people. Personally, I really love the high contrast black and red. My brother had a '77 corvette, and his interior was bright red. Been in love with the idea ever since, but since I think it'd be too drastic of a change to paint my entire interior bright red, I'm just doing red accents instead.

The project is actually getting really close to being finished though. Theoretically, all I have left to do is to rework the bezel once the screen arrives to make it fit right, and that really might not be as bad as it sounds... I might be able to take advantage of the larger opening and flushmount my DVD-rom or something in the front for easy access (minus when the shifter is in park... D'OH!) I still really get the comments about my faceplate for my CD player being mounted into my sunvisor, with a 9 foot extension cord running to my glovebox where the rest of my CD player is... In another week when I have more tangible results of the install process, I'll be posting a thread, so look for it soon (or just visit ProjectCamaro.com, where I post most of my custom projects)

Well I dont have any pics of guages but I feel like I've got to jump in a little bit to defend Meissenation. I am the one who said I feel like hes the only one around here with enough ***** to do anything different to his car. For those of you that call his car rice you need to rethink your definition of rice. His camaro is the best looking LT1 Style camaro on this site even though it is missing the LT1. He knows its a V6 doesnt lie about it and has one of the best looking cars I've ever seen. If you wanna keep hating check out my cardomain I'm sure you'll hate my interior, but its my car, I like it and yea thats an LS1 under the hood! and for those of you claiming all show and no go, I have spent more money on performance parts than anything else.

haha. When I use the A/C(every day I drive it) It still works quite well enough to freeze the sweat on my face.

I took a piece of ABS plastic (can be found at hobby stores or online), cut it to fit, epoxied it in place and mounted the gauges in it.

The switches are extra Fog Switches (available at the dealer, eBay, etc.), I changed the LED color in the bulbs and rewired them for accessories. Red is for line lock, White is Fog, Blue is Power Antenna cutoff, and Amber is ASR.
