Ultra z looks like a ant eater.

Unfortunatly the stock spoiler and hood look the BEST on the ls1 cars, there is nothing that looks better, everything else=bad.

on camaro's i agree, but t/a's i gotta support the ws9 hood is it? has the heat extractors behind the ram air intakes and the vents on the sides of the hood. that thing is bad.

Stock SS hood is the best in terms of fit and finish as far as SS and SS hood clones goes.... just my opinion.

My opinion is also that the SS hood looks the best.

Ultra z or small cowl hood. I've got the 2" cowl and I love how it looks.

The best fitting hoods I've seen are the SS hoods from SLP. I've seen just a few Ultra-Z hoods and they fit nice as well.

Peace,
Craig.

I like my "twin trubo" hood from BoaFX. It's like the Ultra Z, but it has a split in the scoop. The cowl is more rounded, too. I've got a link to more pics in my sig.

...SS hoods are gettin over done, i'm startin to see them on V6's...thats when you know it's being over done! get a Sonoco hood, from VFN, those are REALLY bad *** lookin, they really make it look old/new school and makin the car flex it's muscles more! Sonoco all the way.

As far as fit and finish, they all need a lil work to sit on the car right since all cars are different with age.

Just do a free ram air mod and get a cowl, lol.

I think the SS Hood on a Z28 will never be over done. But yeah on a V6 that stupid.

If I had a Camaro, I'd get the 3 inch SS hood or the Sunoco.
