Any machinist's on the board?
 

Just wondering if anyone here works with a CNC machine and knows how to fabricate with aluminum? I had a cool idea for a new product for us F-Body owners. Some of you might think it's "ricey", but I think it could be tasteful and subtle.

But, have custom engraving: Pontiac, Chevrolet, Camaro, Firebird, Formula, Trans Am, WS6, Z28, SS, Super Sport, ect.

Then have it light up with red or blue led's. Have them wired into the door sensors so that they only light up when the door is opened, like the interior lights are. Could have them in different finishes: brushed aluminum, polished, painted, ect.

Just an idea.

That would be a cool Idea. It could be cut out in a water jet too. Doesn't look to difficult to fabricate. Instead of using led's you could use EL light like the stuff in indiglo watches.
