Default Throwing SS Badges on a Z28, wrong or right

Ok, I saw the thread yesterday and saw people's opinions on the SS hood and spoiler on the car. Now here is another one for fun. What do you guys feel about people throwing SS badges on a z28

Now isn't an SS the sports package, hood, spoiler

Now if your have the hood, spoiler, suspension why not the badges right.

Well I'm not considering it, but what does everyone feel about it. I just want to start a fun thread

Very wrong. Be proud of the fact you own a Z28, no need to be a poser, and advertise what you don't own.

Or the other thought, imitation is a form of flattery . . .

if the SS is, for the most part, an appearance package over the Z28... I see nothing wrong with cloning that.

A V6 is just that.

I don't really see anything wrong with it... not like badges are going to beat anyone in a race lol.

I guess if there was really some big difference between SS and Z28s...it might not be cool (i HATE to see any v6 cars with v8 logos on them). But there really isn't that much difference . Just like Firehawks,WS6's and TA's. I have a true WS6 now, but I made a clone with my 94 because I liked the way it looked.

My younger brother's pearl white TA has a WS6 badge on it (along with hood, aftermarket wheels and suspension upgrades)... doesn't rub me the wrong way at all. Just adds to the look on the back of the car.

I think the people who have BIG problems with this and are super ANTI, must need to feel like they have something special.

Now, if someone wins at a car show and has some fake SS number 234 out of 1023 NBM Camaro SS's made from April 1, 1999 to April 15, 1999 plaque thats a different story completely.

If it's a T/A they have WS7 badges if it's a clone.

If it's a Camaro it should have something similar like- Camaro BS.

Just do the mods and put some vintage z/28 badges which look cooler than the SS IMO.

i think that this is funny..

i mean if you get every part that an SS had, and those parts are the same ones used on an original SS... then why cant some one use the SS badges? why? just because there is a little digit in a piece of metal that says he cant? come on now... its his car.. his money, if he wants to have an SS let him...

i cant think of how many times, i see 67-69 cars that didnt originally come with 350's or LS1's but they still put the damn Z28 or SS on them, and most of those cars were 6 cylinder camaro's.. and no one says a thing about them.

HOWEVER... if some one were to sell their car.. and claimed it was an original SS.. then yes i would say that its wrong..

but to call someone a "poser" for having the exact same parts you do.. and if you saw it in person, you couldnt tell the difference unless you ran the vin#.. how is he poseing if YOU couldnt tell?? i mean the parts are the same.. same HP, same suspension..

you also forget.. SLP is the company that TOOK Z28's AND MADE THEM SS's.. so if you call someone a poser.. all SS's are Z28's posing as SS's

give me a break.. its not like he is calling it a "Dick Harrell" edition or something.. good lord..

I wonder if there were more people who preferred the look of a 98+ firehawk over the WS6... if there would be more clones of them like there was in the 93-97 years?

Ricer mentality, if it's not a SS then why claim it is? Be proud of your Z28.

The only people that get pissed about that are the ones that own SS's and paid way too much for it, or are so traditional they think nothing changes.! The vette lost its flip up headlights.....

I personally wouldn't do it, but I wouldn't call anyone that does it a poser. I would put an SS hood on it (not spoiler cause I'm not really fond of em) and leave the Z28 badges on it.
