firehawk, what kind of stuff would you recommend to polish as a beginner ? I dont really want to go ape **** with the polishing like your car (although it looks fantastic) but I would like to make some things shine a little more, suggestions on where to start ?

Of course have the heavy duty bench grinder type of polisher is best, but I used a regular drill with attachments. The attachments and sanding/polish supplies I got from Eastwood (sponsor) =========>

I'd start small, it all comes down to sanding it smooth before you polish. Polishing is easy, the sanding isn't. You really need a drill. Polishing by hand isn't all that easy.

*edit- Notice the ac condenser in the picture? Notice how it's not quite as "bright" as the engine parts? I did the ac condenser by hand with no power tools. I didn't sand it down as fine as the other parts that were out of the car. You can get some decent results though by hand.

Depending on how much $ you want to spend/how long you want to wait you could order fuel rail covers. Afterthoughts Auto takes Corvette fuel rail covers, fills in the Corvette lettering and custom paints/letters them to your specifications. They're also made to fit the f-body engine bay. I'm waiting for mine to be made. I think if you were to order them now it might be a 2 month wait.

Oh my gosh those checkered flag ones are a much better deal .... card hasn't been charged yet for AA ... what to do ...

Thx guys. I've already got fuel rail covers, some stuff painted, and some billet caps, but looking for stuff like fuse box covers, pcm cover, and anything else to help it out some.

Firehawk: Thx for the compliment on the stripe bird. I will be putting on the raptor hood here real soon and using that same set too. BTW, Got-v8 has the same thing on his WS6 hood

Do you have any pics of it that I can see?

As for the hood, waiting as long as I can before I get it painted before world of wheels. I won't drive it again after it's painted until after the show, so I'm stalling so I can still drive it LOL It will be the beginning of the month though for sure
