Default has any one tryed this with their stock grille..

was wondering if any one has painted their stock grille to make it better looking....my billet grille got stolen and im saving up my $$ for some Lt's so have to improvise.. will it work??

it will work, we have done some at my shop before. Should cost ya about $50 bucks, makes sure if you do it tho that you get some inserts for the lettering. the one that we did the guy wanted it pewter with stainless steel inserts.... it looked

wow, i cant believe someone stole your grille.......thats fuggin gay, but then again TX is pretty populated with camaros and such.

Hmmm Im on the fence on that idea, I still dont like the texture of the stock grille. I suppose if you could sand it and make it completely smooth then it would be ok though. Or you could just go without the grille altogether. Fill in the holes and youre good to go.

Yeah, some people have sanded it and painted it gloss black. Look up FlagSStaff either on here or on LS2.com and you can see pics of it on his pewter SS.

found some pics...hope this guy doesnt mind me using his pics....i dont know if i should spend the $150 for an RKSport grille or just paint the stock one

i was thinking maybe painting it black like scotty-z suggested...any one know what grid sand paper is needed to sand the plastic grillE??

IMHO...that looks really freaking good! the only other grill i like is the SLP grill...i'm not a billet man myself...so i'd say do that (cause i like it more and more when i look at the pic) or the SLP grill...

but it's your car...GOODLUCK!

As much as I hate the stock grille that looks pretty damn decent. I still think it looks better with the grille removed and the mounting holes filled though.

i painted mine gloss black, but its still got the texture, i had extra black and i am still debating on a grille. so it works for me now

Thanks for the pics of the marroon grill. I had mine painted that color and have been worried what it was gonna look like. I pick it up today, and now I cant wait to get it. The silver lettering sets it off. I'm gonna have to try and do that.
