does anyone know the part number for the grille that goes in the SS hood scoop? that black plastic deal..

Dont think a LT1 SS grille will work.

And with that PN, you should be able to go to damn near any GM parts distribution website or store and see if they have it, or contact SLP directly.

That P/N should work just fine at GMParts Direct and as far as the 98-02 SS grills and the 96-97's being interchangeable, I'm not sure.
