Default New engine bay mod...

Not much, it is subtle, but I like the look.

I think I am going to redo the TB in flat black...

Nice!! I did mine red with this whole red theme I went too. I am thinking now about going black and doing my throttle body and maf ends black instead of red.

If you have a gasket come off of the valve cover, buy new ones. It is not worth the stress of trying to get the old one back on. Fel Pros are only $15...

Copycat! lol...I had the TB, MAF ends, and valvecovers powdercoated black a long time ago. The valvecovers started to look crappy so I bought a different set and went back to aluminum.

Anyone notice the throttle bracket?

I would match the valve covers and TB, which it sounds like you are planning to do. Now paint your intake and it will be looking really sharp

I would do the throttle body, valve covers, water pump, and maf ends all the same so it looks tied together. Here's what mine looked like before I went to the polished look:

This is after the polish work:

Thanks, it took me two months working on weekends and everyday after work. Sometimes staying up till 1 a.m. to "finish" a part. I'd think twice if I had to do it again, but it's soooo worth it when I feel bad... just go out to the garage and pop the hood with a beer in my hand.

I painted my covers and brackets along with the intake. It goes well. Also, there is nothing wrong with a CF hood.
