Default Fake leather . . .

Anybody have their seats redone in that simulated leather? Its a lot nicer than the old vinyl they put back in the cars back in the 1960's, but is it as nice as real leather? I've seen people who have it and it looks great, but I'm worried about burning my butt on the stuff in the summer. Is it as comfortable as real leather?

Go try sitting in some Vinyl furniture. With some of the higher quality ones its hard to tell the difference but most of them you can. It is usually not as soft.

Actually Ive been told that the stock seats are mostly "leather"

the only part that is real leather is the center plane of the seat..BTW that's all that's required by law to call a seat leather..unless you say "All Leather"

There is a product called UltraLeather and it is VERY close to real leather. It's just as soft and is hard to tell the difference unless you know what to look for.

Well, the mostly leather part makes no sense...

All GM pleather is actually coated in a urethane.
