Default Wash, Clay, Polish, Wax, etc. (56k = BS)

It was my first time using a clay bar. WOW does that thing ever work wonders on a white car! Smooth as glass and no more black specks all over, especially the rear bumper. I literally spent all weekend working on cleaning this car. Washed twice, claybar, polish, wax, steamed the engine bay, washed the underside of the hood, scrubbed the wheels/tires, cleaned the glass. I'm simply amazed at the results. It was well worth every minute. Plus it gives me a chance to ***** my car online some more.

edit: Forgot to mention i painted and installed my front plate cover too. It doesn't match perfectly though, so i'll probably re-do it. After it's perfect, i have a silver bird decal for it, to match the blackbird stripes.

Looks really nice man.. whats up with the mud flaps though?

Love the 3rd shot, with the American flag in the backround.. that deserves to be printed and framed!

*edit*

Although.. those flaps would come in handy when going to the race track!

Damn clean, looks immaculate.

I agree with the mudflaps comment, liberate your car from them.

Have you considered removing the mouldings?

The mudflaps are on their way off. Unfortunately i can't get in to the screws that hold them on without taking the wheels off. So i haven't had the drive to do that quite yet.

As for the moldings, I rather like the way they accent the fender vent. I've always liked the line it puts on the car. On an LT1, they'd come off ASAP, but on LS1 cars, i think it looks better with it on there. I've been known to change my mind on things like that though.

Damn, I thought GM quit making them 4 years ago, yours looks new.

I don't have a problem with the flaps, but I am old school.

I have a buddy that's getting me original GM paint for it and we're gonna spray it with a paint gun and such. I just did a quick rattle-can job so i could put it on the car. I'd rather have it slightly mis-matched than have a big hole there. It's more noticeable in pictures than in real life.
