vinyl stripes and washing car?

vinyl stripes and washing car? ok i've had my vinyl stripes on my SS a week and a half now and i was wondering how long do i have to wait to take my car through a car wash? the car has been in the sun everyday since i've had the stripes on so they've had time to settle i think. but you guys who know abit about this could you chime in?

be very careful when you take it to the car wash... i took mine to the pay and spray a month ago and was hosing it down on low pressure and one side just ripped off... i'd try to hand wash it if at all possible.... although my stripes were a year old... so, take it as you will.
