Racing stripes ?s

Alright guys ever since I got my camaro lil over a year ago the stripes were starting to crack and fade out. At first it looked pretty cool gave a tectured look to it. Well now its just on my nerves and I'm wanting to get rid of them but not sure how to do it. I tried using a heat gun and a VERY small razor blade but gave up didn't really have the patients. My question is there any easier way to do it or can I take it to a detailing place to see if they can do it??

ok i can answer this, but i know someone else will chime in. develope patience or pay some to do it. stripes and tint come off the same way, heat gun and razor blade. when i first got my SS it had that stupid pin stripe on the side that made it look like it was owned by a mexican!! so for $30 i had the pin stirpes taken off. i'd say if you want to get stripes on it again just get the stripes and take it too a place that will put stripes on and i'm sure they'll take the old ones off and put the new ones on

they make a decal remover I know 3m has one, I can not confirm what it will do to the paint, but I would figure on a wet sand and a buff after wards.

try a local paint store or supply, many smaller shops carry thier stuff. -maybe even homey depot but, like youve heard b4, a heat gun would be my first choice. - just lave the car in the sun on a nice hot day for a couple hours first and get to it!
