The factory primer is gray. My car has green spots too. Some areas no paint at all.
Our paint is "black" but if you have ever had it in a can the wet paint is really green when you are looking at a small amount of it. Ya know how ocean water is blue when your looking at it but when you put it in a glass it becomes clear? Same deal.

No, the metal is bright metallic green way under the cowl in very small spots where the factory black didn't cover it.
It's like a coating on the metal. It looks the exact exterior shade of the BMG Camaros I've seen pictures of on this site. I don't know if it's primer or paint, but it's metal flake and it's there for sure.
