Zaino'd the car last weekend

I spent all afternoon Sunday with the Zaino. I washed and claybared to remove road tar and bugs, etc. I applied 2 coats of Z2, 2 coats of Z5, and one last coat of Z2. Wanted to share the pictures as the car is SUPER reflective again. Last time I applied Zaino was almost 2 years ago and the car still looked great. But as always more is better (deeper shine)! I love how this stuff lasts so long!

I also put Z9 on the tires, but must not have used enough as it doesn't look like they are very shiny.

And before anyone comments, yes I know I need to lower it. Funds are not there for that at the moment. My 10-bolt will need replacing first.

Forgive me for being ignorant here, but what does PC stand for? I am drawing a blank. I am thinking power something or other but seem to be experiencing a brainfart.

Yeah that was compliments of a large chunk of asphalt. I thought it was a piece of tire rubber until I got home and it had scratched all the way down to bare metal!!

PC stands for Porter Cable random orbital buffer. They are quite useful, might want to look into one. Car looks great. I wish my gfx looked good enough for me to give a rat's ass about when I detail the rest of my car. They're just a lost cause at this point until I figure out what I'm gonna do with them.

Thanks. I like keeping it looking good and knowing that my hard work did it.

I am right near Elizabeth Lake and Cooley Lake Roads. Walking distance from the Irish Tavern!!! I have been cruising around more this year. I joined Motown Muscle earlier this year so I hang out with those guys a few nights at some of the cruise events. Your car looks really nice. Hope to catch ya around here to see it in person.

Ah, no I do all my handiwork by hand. This was all me! Sore arms and all. My GFX have some road scars on them too. I have left paint on parking blocks and sidewalks before (from pulling in too far). It's a pisser but maybe I can get them repainted eventually. Personally I like them as they give the car a nice look. I still have people asking me what kit they were and not believing they were from the factory. I think non-lowered cars without the GFX look too tall. These are like an easy option to make the car appear lower when it is not.

Why yes I do know Sean. He helped me fix my leaky pinion seal earlier this year. I had put two seals on the car and it still leaked. Took it to Sean and fixed it. Although I still get a few drips every do often. I may need to go visit him again. I would like to eventually get dyno tuned there too but figured I would wait until I am actually doing some major upgrades.

I have been working on that for a while now. I am trying to find 18" wheels to fit my C6 ZO6 brakes behind (had these on the workbench for almost a year now!). So far all measurements I have received from helpful members on the board here show the caliper housing will crash into the wheel spokes. I may end up with the C6 ZO6 replica wheels to get the most clearance. But I was hoping for something like the RUFF 278's with a polished lip. I love that look. We'll see, believe me I will update everyone if and when I get those upgrades installed.

Ha Ha! I know the feeling. I organize a show-n-shine here at work on Fridays. One Friday morning I realized it was friday and didn't want to show up in a dirty car so I was out there at 5:30am washing the car! My neighbor thought I was nuts! But car looked good for the show. And it always feels good to cruise in a clean car when everyone checks it out. So go ahead and wash. You know you want to!!:D
