Your going to have to pull the carpet and padding out and clean them thoroughly while out of the car. The odor is coming from the padding under the carpet. The only other option is to replace it all.

Your most likely going to have to replace the carpet, because most smells that have been sitting for a while tend to stay there for a really lopng time. Especially when you are dealing with carpets, NO BUENO!! hahaha!!

yea...if it were me i would just replace them...no need to take it out, clean it, and put it back in just to find out the smell is still around

replace!

My son left the passenger side window down one night when we got this huge unexpected down pour.

I did get some commercial grade disiccant moisture packs (like that come with electronics, but way bigger) and left those in my car for a week and that did remove the odor. I dont know where you can buy them, I got them from work,as we used to pack them in machines going overseas.

Try putting some baking soda down on the carpets. Really helped the smell in my car when i discovered my back window was leaking. If that doesnt work probably have to end up replacing it
