I use regular engine paint for mine. Works great, lasts long. Just remember to clean the calipers real well before painting.

to answer your question...you can use high temp engine paint, but they make caliper paint, you can buy it at Autozone!

Ive painted mine 4 different times because I of changing my color scheme and used regular duplicolor paint. I also spent the time to polish them too...then painted them the color they are now....the same orange that's on the front of the car . Polished one's look great but I doubt I'd ever do that again to mine....alot of time into it.

I dremeled my brake calipers smooth on the outside before painting the second time I painted them. I would use the caliper paint as it tends to go on thicker then regular engine paint. Also make sure to get a high temp clear and clear them. I did my brakes but didn't clear them and the paint started to fade within a year. Cleared them the second time around and it still looks brand new going on 2 years now.

Should decals go on before or after the clear coat?

Decals first then clear...otherwise they will have a tendancy to peel off. Again you dont need to use high temp paint.
