LOL!!! OH shit, I didn't realize you were one in the same person. That looks much better with a neon light going across the top :jest: Look, to each his own, but you're not going to win on this one. There are MUCH better ways to make these cuts without chopping off 50% of the entire cover. I think there are also more tasteful ways of accenting them with out putting a huge piece of plastic across the top to hide a neon, LED or whatever that light source is. You do it your way, I'll do it mine, but I'm just letting the guy know all that isn't necessary. Bryan parbreak |
you don't need to cut them at all. I am going to have to remove mine to show everybody. I still have all of the air hoses as well. You just need to work with the hoses. |
This thread is getting to be entertaining... Advice to SilverUltraZ (the whole point of the thread really): If parbreak is offering you templates and you are willing to try yourself, I'd be all over that. I havent personally dealt with him, but have seen his work and interaction on this board and he's proven. And...

Here's a link to a pic of my FRC's. I have a 4 spd auto. I decided not to do any engine mod's to make them fit, so major FRC surgery was required. JohnS's FRC's Here they are installed. https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...ightfar6X4.jpg |

I could see possible cutting them if they were painted but wouldn't you want them cut before you painted them? I think the original poster is using plain Corvette FRC which is exactly what I have on mine. I didn't think it was that hard to get them on but again I could see if you had a nicely painted pair it would be worth it to have them cut. |
Yea, I always cut mine before painting them. |
