Default Made a couple of things for my car...

First off is a polished aluminum battery cover with a fuse holder. ( I know I need to polish the AC canister now!)

Then I made a mounting panel for my Interceptor gauge and SLP fan switch. (The gauge looks blue when the flash hits it, but it is red)

The small holes by the fan switch are for LED's to shine through when I am finished)

Neither are perfect but I think they turned out OK.

Very impressed with the battery cover, how much approximately did it cost you to make it?

Thanks for the comments.

Red97Z - I had the billet caps made.

Gun5 - Sorry, I am working on a few more additions, no time.

Y2K Pewter SS - Total cost was about $6.00 (But I have a bending brake, and a buffer/polisher setup).

How does the panel mount in the console? Did you cut out that section of the console

What thickness aluminum did you use? Looks like .020 or .025. Also what alloy and temper? Thanks, Jay

The gauge part fits right in the existing pocket opening, the only thing I had to "open up" was the cig. lighter hole since I offset the switch a little. If you placed the switch right over the lighter hole you wouldn't have to change anything.

As for mounting, it is held in place by two screwed on tabs, you just cant see the heads of the screws because I recessed them and used Bondo before painting it.

That Batt cover is really ingenious. It really cleans things up. Great job.
