And this is why we don't have nice things...

Because people steal them :bang: Someone stole my 1974 Style Z28 emblems off my car while in a movie theater today... I was VERY pissed but I am calming down.

To top things off it was on what would have been my dad's 50th birthday (he passed 6 years ago)... People suck!

01CaMMMaro Oct 22, 2006 11:34 PM

someone stole my 69 camaro blue bowtie emblem off my grille... ripped it right off.

SmokeySS Oct 23, 2006 12:27 AM

As soon as I saw that someone sold CME tips on ebay for 1300 I've been wondering if some maniac-douche will run up to my car with a sawzall while I'm away.

one reason i cant wait to get my garage back, college sucks

that's why i went in the rear hatch and changed the sensitivy of the stock alarm all the way up. every little vibration sets it off. it gets kind of annoying when it goes off in the parking lot just because someone shut their door next to me. but i figure it's worth it going off at every little thing, rather than not going off when i really need it to. plus, it lets people know that the car is on full alert and ready to go off.

it's too bad that someone stole your emblems. i hope everything turns out ok.

anotherreject04 Oct 23, 2006 04:51 PM

how did you do that --turn up the sensitivity...could i do that?

I had nice chrome valve stem caps on my truck. The ONE time I parked my truck on the street instead of the driveway, for a whole 2 fucking hours, some asshole walked by and took them off.

+1 for the alarm thing......

When's the last time anyone saw someone do anything about a car alarm going off? When people hear them, they ignore them anymore. They're pretty much only helpful if they are within earshot of the owner themself so they could come out and pummel the person stealing stuff.

I'm seriously considering running a hot wire to the next set... They are metal after all

Does Anyone Know How To Turn Up The Sensitivity Of Stock Alarm!!!

BiggCmass Oct 23, 2006 06:00 PM

I thought he was referring to an aftermarket alarm, as far as I know my 98 Z doesnt have a shock sensor, You can rock the car back and forth with it on and it does nothing until you open the doors.

anotherreject04 Oct 23, 2006 06:06 PM

im sure they do...some kids were playing foot ball in the street and the ball hit my spoiler and set it off

Ws6man2000 Oct 23, 2006 06:07 PM

my 00 ws6 had shock sensors on it, i believe the alarm is on the passanger side wheel well or driver i cant remember

the first sentence says the stock alarm. :)

coldkillinTA Oct 23, 2006 06:10 PM

the shock sensor sensitivety control is a knob on a little black box where the spare tire/jack is.. you have to peel a peice of white protective tape off thats wrapped around the knob and then turn it clockwise i beleive(correct me if im wrong) and youre good to go!

Adam_346 Oct 23, 2006 06:11 PM

that sucks

mrws6speed Oct 23, 2006 06:11 PM

Sorry to hear that man....that SUX!

I was at the Muscle Car Nationals show earlier this year. 3-day indoor show and someone stole my valve-stem caps.

Someone just stole my friends WS6 emblem off his car about a month ago.

People SUCK.......BUT I'm not going to not drive my car just because something MIGHT happen to it.

It's the name of the game....people get jealous of you because you have nice stuff (never mind that you work your @$$ off for it).

pdd Oct 23, 2006 06:12 PM

sorry to hear :(
