yeah I have a mecham hood on my trans am it looks nice after 3 paint jobs, I would have bought an ls9 hood instead and wish I did.

a guy here in tulsa has one (chad hurse or hurst or soemthin) and it looks KILLER, ive seen it up close a few times and i didnt notice any cracks, that doesnt mean it doesnt have any, it just means i didnt notice any....also, ive heard about fitment problems on them, his looked good, but that doesnt mean he didnt have problems with it. there are quite a few tulsa guys here from TFCC and they know him ad his car a lot better than i do...maybe one of them will see this and chime in

I think he posts here. I know Chevy Chad is from OK and if it's him then he did a lot of work to get it to look good. I think he said something about cracking and having to get it fixed in another thread a while back

chevychad's hood was off of an actual mecham T/A if i remember right.
a local guy has a mecham hood on his T/A and looks great from a distance, but up close u can tell its a crappily made POS, especially for the price

Chevychads hood had some stress cracks when I looked at it about a year ago. Wasnt real noticeable unless you were right on top of it. He might have had it fixed but im not sure. Either way the car is extremely nice and that might be the only flaw that car has.
