I think this guy knows what he's doing. I think he may just be having fun with a car he picked up for cheap. At least I hope... The "cai" looks like pure The tranny tuning is pretty funny though. Keep us updated dude.

Nothing new, just laughing at these stupid *** comments that I keep getting. I'm still sanding the car and getting it ready for the paint shop. The hood is shipping out next week, so that's good.
I picked up a few performance parts and will be installing them MYSELF, so of course, there'll be something wrong with it. I should just leave it to professionals who know what they are doing because they get paid all the time to do it.....
I'm looking for some torquer thrust 2's, so yall keep an eye out........ in the junk yard for rusted free ones of course

I only read the first 3 pages and not going to read the whole thread. Give him a break. He originally said he's new to the ls1 community. Instead of breaking his *****, ya'll should just give him suggestions. We're all in the same game. Jeez.

man thats what I was thinking. what is this high school and were all goin to pile on someone who's trying to do something different? and I know, everyone knows how to tune cars, and stuff right away.
and Ive seen plenty of BIG named companies (even some of our own venders) take out that f'n bar alltogether to fit in there intercooler piping, or moving the rad. forward to make room for the turbo's. how many Fbodies do you think are out there on the road right now with NO steel bumper behind the fascia? Im sure its alot. if I bought a Z for cheap Id have no problem striping the **** out of it to lose weight, and I dont see how the effectiveness of his CAI is any different then my LT1 CAI. Im sure it works to some degree. maybe being all stock otherwise he doesnt need the extra air, or the colder air, but it aint hurting anything besides not looking that great.
Im with the other half, keep it goin man. gotta learn somehow if things work or not.
PS: I also have a "POS" cop car and I LOVE IT. mine is a 96 caprice 9C1 and its the best F'n daily driver Ive ever had. Ive had it for 60K miles now, three years, and only had to do normal maint., ball joints, and some broken mann. bolts in the head. and it pulls my trailer w/o any problems on top of that. so there. see, cop cars rule.
