Does anyone get that the other thread is by a different person? Who is redhotey1? And why does he have the exact same pics as dmoss69? Did I miss something?

Default Next addition!

As far as the interior shots go, I'm still working on the interior, so I'll post them up as I get finished with them. I've been working on 2 other car engines, and haven't had time to get back to mine. I'll post them up though!

Moral of posts, no matter how much **** you catch doing what you want, do it anyway. When it's all over and done with, if you don't like it, then you can always go back to what everyone else does.

Now let's carry on MY build!

Car looks great dude, but I still think you shouldnt have cut into the soppourt, when you could have done something else for about 5 bucks.. You need a drop, and to get your headlights cleaned up. but keep up the good work, and not the bad.

What are you doing on the interior? I saw something like a fiberglass rear seat delete...

Why does everyone say that??

You think cops bash cars any harder that your average f-body driver would?

From what I understand the fluids get changed on time and stuff like that. Maybe it's just me but I dont think they are any worse than most f-bodys.

Mostly because even though a car has, say 100,000 miles on it it's actually been running a LOT longer (so the wear is higher) because most cops are REQUIRED to always leave the car running...

So, they may sit for an hour on a patrol but have to leave the car running (at least all of my family members who are cops from PA to FL had to).

I really don't think (other than having to fix the damage their equipment installation leaves behind) they're worse than any other bought F-Body. Probably BETTER than the average daily driver because like you say they are serviced regularly...

Default As stated before

I've posted pics of a trooper car engine that had 140,000 miles on it, and we took the engine apart, and the cross hatch patern was still enbedded on the cylinder walls! NO the engine wasn't blown, just a leaking head gasket. We bored it a whole .005 over, WOW!

If people would have half *** listened or payed attention to the posts instead of jumping on the bandwagon of bashing, then it is clearly there, pics and all of that engine. These cars are not junk, they have miles on them, and that's it. I promise I drive it harder than any trooper ever has, cause if they drove it as hard as I drive it now, then would have been fired due to complaints.

I may tend to act like a dick, but I'll treat you like I've been treated. You throw **** at me, and I'll sling it back at you harder.

I've built the base of fiberglass compartments where the rear seats were, I've not finished these yet, but I'll post them when I do.

Think outside of the box and try ****, and if you don't, don't bash others when they do. This site is the worst about this kind of behavior that I've ever been to, and I've done some crazy stuff over at turbomustangs and camaroz28.

Keep it fast n fun........

Agree w/everyone about the lid thing though, even if the mod was "free" you can get a used lid for like $50, especially on the forums.

On a better note, it is definitely coming along nicely.

wow moss had me absolutely rolling! i love this guy, the car looks great now, great job ! also for those of you who dont think cop cars are thrashed, your WRONG! maybe dave got fortunate and picked one up that was decent but i have two relatives who are cops in the state of california, one of wich drives an ls1 car and the cars are absolutely THRASHED, they even said they go over speed bumps doing 60, simply because they DONT CARE, because its not their car its the citys property, my overall point, hell yeah if you can get one cheap but anything over cheap and your a fool

wow.

whats funny is, people are talking about how an ex-police car is crap, yet they say that itll mess it up with that CAI. so who cares if the car is crap then. lol

i made a similar intake on my grand am and it worked well. i did submerge the filter in water twice, but never sucked up water, and the engine ran fine after a week both times. do what you want, its your car and I have to respect you for having the ***** to try new stuff.

that paint is beautiful. i remember seeing both threads, but im not a fan of jumping on bandwagons to trash people, and same with stroking people. ill say hit how it is, but i try to keep it pretty positive.

keep up the good work and mod on. BTW do you have a sound clip with the fartmaster and CAI? Im curious to hear it, everyone says the fartmaster sucks on these cars, but my car came with magnaflow so i never had to really research it.
