i had a question. my friend is thinking of doing a widebody kit on his volkswagon passat. its a nice kit from estrictlyforeign. we got to wondering. once you put on the fender flares, what do you do under them? do you trim away the old fender?i wouldnt assume you leave it as is. the only logical thing i could think of is cutting the stock fender up to the mounting point of the new lip.

this is the kit hes getting. i think its nice for his car.
they sell their kits along with hub specific spacers and they tell you what offset to buy your rims with to put your tire right to the edge of the fender its the real deal not those tacky honda kits.

Looks to me like they are just replacement fenders so they should just bolt right on in replace of the stock fenders. The flares are just part of the new fenders

Yup thats it. Its a whole replacement fender. Idk what you would do about the inner fender plastic though.

but i think it will be hard to do the quarterpanel by yourself as it is sealed on with an adhesive.

it includes replacement fenders for the front only. the back peices are add-ons i think.im pretty sure actually. but im not just saying this specific kit but in general. lol maybee i should go to a honda site and ask.
