Default Detailed Mom's Truck....

Well, after hearing her complain for a while about how dirty her truck was I decided to go ahead and wash and detail it today. Not to mention the fact that I kinda got it stuck at our new years celebration.

So I used the local car wash to get the heavy mud out from the bumper and fender whells, then washed with dawn to get what ever wax might have been on it and then followed up with that wash gel stuff. I used the Mothers Claybar and then their cleaner wax. Another wash followed by NXT.

I took the final pictures with having done the interior and polishing the bumbers... I just wanted to get some pics done before the sun went down.

Oh and I might note... the truck has never been detailed since it came off the show room floor *caugh* in 98' *caugh*

Before...

After...

So and as mom pulled in from work, her first words were..."Why are still out here working on this? Then as I get inside, still waiting on a wow the truck looks good or something, she comes out with, "Did you move the TV down stairs yet?" And then finally when a compliment rolls out... it is immediatily followed by, "It would look better if you hadn't wrecked it."

A mothers love is hard to understand sometimes...

Yeah, but I think I will stick to cars. The trucks have way too much paneling. My shoulder hasnt been this sore in a long time...

you think that's bad, try a conversion van. I waxed my mom's van a while back and swore I'd never wax that damn thing again

Yea I believe at that point I would have used a polisher or something.

Oh and just for the record... I claybared the out side of the windows and then used that cleaner wax on the out side as well as the inside.... what a difference. Those windows are clean. I decided I would test it on mom truck before I put it on my Z.

Thanks guys. She said she drove the truck today, because it was nice out and wanted to be seen in it. I guess that means she likes it...

Travis... we will get those inserts in tomorrow maybe...
