help: fuel rail cover install

any tips on putting fuel rail covers on? i have vette fuel rail covers cut to fit my 02 Z-28, but there is not much space and when i thought i had them in place, they wouldn't stay down

Your '02 Z28 may compel you to modify the FRCs due to the AIR system (specifically the tubing along the backside of the intake manifold). Other than that, it solely requires a bit of patience, pursuation, and a few cuts on your hands. :) remember to snap the plastic clips/tabs unto the fuel rails themselves...

as stated, it takes a lot of patience, a few swear words, and some gentle navigation. i covered mine with painters tape to get them in place (after scratching up the paint on the passenger side one and having to touch it up  ha ha ) it will frustrate you but they will go on and will look great :D

You need to remove the metal clip that holds the throttle cable, this has to be done in order for the driver side FRC to sit flat and stick to fuel rail.

I did all of the above and my drive side still fits like sh*t. I got an autometer rubber garmet(sp?) ment to put into a fire wall to protect sending wires and slid it over the fuel rail tube. The front clip camps on snug.
