Default Another minor appearance mod.

Well my calipers were in need of some TLC, not that they were in bad shape, they were just plain. I cleaned, scuffed, and then just painted them silver with some high temp silver coating. I couldn't decide on a color, and my polishing skills leave some to be desired so this is what I decided. The rotors came in while I was gone, and I also cleaned out the barrels of my wheels aswell. What do you guys think? (Rotors/calipers are the main point to this thread!)

P.S. This is my camara phone so sorry for the pictures, no pics of the rears with the wheels on either. I also relocated my GM Performance Division badges to my MRC seats, no pics yet, but looks good IMO!!

My bad, rotors are ebays! Quite a few in the club down here are running them and have had no issues, can't beat $178 shipped for the 4 either. I haven't tested em' yet, I'm going to wait over night for the coating to cure just to be safe.

Thanks, DEMONBIRD, I think we have the same kind of goals. I eventually want to make this car, for lack of a better term, the 'Ultimate DD TA'. And I remember you saying something about wanting to make yours a vision of the Ultimate Camaro. I think I only have little things left unless I decide on a hood which I'm really torn on. Then my tax refund will be the start of my supercharger fund!

What hoods are you looking at? I love an OEM WS6 hood (put one on my 1999 T/A):

NOTE: The VFN WS6 hood is as good, IMO, as factory because it still has the lines around the nostril and is $495 (but don't forget to subtract 10% as an LS1tech member ):

...but also like that VFN hood that adds the Firehawk heat extractors to the WS6 hood, it's called the, "98-2002 "US Exotics Style" WS9 Outlaw Ram Air Bolt on hood" $695 (but don't forget to subtract 10% as an LS1tech member )::

Those are the only hoods I would consider... What did you have in mind?

I had many problems with them. The rotors themself and the manufacture. Needless to say I got rid of them. If you want me to elaborate you can PM me.

I drove around on them today with some hard breaking, no issues so far. No dust or anything which I was worried about (cheese grater on pads)

I used a Dupli-Color Caliper Coating, I'm sure its just paint, but it calls itself a coating with ceramic.
